Scaling Content Without Adding Headcount
How McGuckin Hardware uses Unilog HyperScale Autonomous Work Completion (AWC) to produce more content, reduce manual work, and improve on-site product findability.
McGuckin Hardware had two high-value digital tasks it could not keep up with: after losing the team member who wrote its blog content, production had stalled, and keeping search synonyms current meant manually working through failed-search reports. Two High-Value Tasks, Not Enough Hands
McGuckin Hardware had two high-value digital tasks that were difficult to keep up with using existing resources: content creation and search optimization.
After losing the team member responsible for writing blogs and editorial content, McGuckin had no practical path back to consistent blog production. Content creation had stalled, leaving the team without a scalable way to support fresh site content, keyword-driven topics, and product category visibility.
At the same time, customers searching on-site were not always using the same terminology McGuckin used in its product catalog. When a shopper’s search terms did not match the way a product was cataloged, they could hit a dead end. The team knew synonyms needed to be added, but keeping up with failed searches and manually maintaining synonym lists was slow, resource intensive, and difficult to prioritize with existing staff.
McGuckin needed a way to restart content production, improve search relevance, and reduce manual work without adding headcount.
Two AI Agents, Built Into the Workflow They Use
As an early beta participant in Unilog HyperScale AWC, McGuckin Hardware adopted two agents embedded directly within its CX1 CIMM2 workflow: Blog Agent and Synonym Agent.
CX1 CIMM2 Platform
McGuckin runs on Unilog’s CX1 CIMM2 eCommerce platform, with a fully transactional site, real-time pricing, inventory availability, and the catalog management depth a broad-category hardware retailer requires.
HyperScale Blog Agent
Blog Agent helps McGuckin generate timely, relevant blog content directly within CX1 CIMM2. The team can use suggested topics or bring its own ideas, generate full draft content with a single click, and move from draft to publishing without leaving the platform.
HyperScale Synonym Agent
Synonym Agent monitors zero-result searches and top keywords, then uses AI to generate synonym suggestions automatically. McGuckin’s team can review, edit, and publish synonym recommendations instead of manually researching failed searches and entering every term by hand.
Why Built-In Matters
Standalone AI tools could theoretically generate blog drafts or synonym lists, but those tools would still require copying content between systems, training users on a separate workflow, and manually moving outputs into the site. Because HyperScale AWC agents are built into the CX1 Platform, the work happens where the team already manages its eCommerce site.
I could go run over to a different AI agent and have a blog generated and then copy and paste it, but to be able to just publish the blog straight from the agent itself is just more time you’re saving. And it’s a little more intuitive to use that way too.
A Content Program, Rebuilt Without Headcount
After losing its dedicated content writer, McGuckin had no realistic path to consistent blog production. Blog Agent gave the team a way to restart that work without adding staff or relying on a separate content production process.
The team has generated more than 30 blog drafts to date, testing topics across product categories and rebuilding a content library designed to support keyword traffic to specific areas of the site. Once generated, posts require little to no editorial involvement before publishing.

Synonym Agent monitors zero-result searches automatically, surfaces them as a prioritized list, and generates synonym suggestions for each term. The team’s role shifts from manual discovery and research to review and approval.
We used to spend time just running a report of failed searches and then going through and adding those synonyms manually … trying to figure out what the person was searching for. To have the HyperScale agent actually give you the listing of the failed searches and then offer you suggestions is a huge time saver.
